Finally changed the battery....
I bought my C5 back in June of 04 and I took it in for a new sticker and it didn't pass because of the charge wan't strong enough to pass the test...
That's 10 years.....
Not bad....
I live in Houston but, it's a not daily and garage kept.....

Ten years could be a record.

That's a long time for a battery to last. Here's hoping the new one gives you that kind of service.

I've never had a battery last anywhere near that long.

Battery in my bike is that old, the Vette almost as old. Smart charger all the time when they are in the garage.

About four years is all I get from my other vehicles in general....
The heat down here just cooks them after awhile....

Lived in Houston for several yrs & your right, heat is harder on the battery then cold weather. I used a CTEK3300 battery tender & got 6 plus yrs on my red-top but changed it out to be on the safe side. 10 yrs on yours may be a record. Good luck & enjoy your winter weather!

I got over 9 years of service from my AGM battery in my 2003 AE. Pretty amazing considering the parasitic draw, but a tender does magic.
