Sorry, not from your area but the place that did mine used a quality 3M product and showed me how to continue to rub out the dot matrix area with a wet cloth. Didn't take many rubs to get the tint to lay down around the dots and it looks great. I also use my defroster on the rear without issue.
Seems there is still a bit of water and moisture trapped under the tint. The tint guy was able to squeeze some out, the rest has to evaporate. One mistake on my part was that the car should have seen more sunlight after the tint job. The sunlight is necessary to cure the tint properly. Much much better than earlier today.
And even better today. I had it out for a drive so it got some much needed sun.

Have that area covered with solid black vinyl. It will not
restrict your vision at all.
Then tint the rest of the window, doing a cut out around the vinyl

That is EXACTLY what was done on mine. The moisture is dissipating and it's starting to look like it should.
