I've sent them a PM. It is on the side of the car where I was hearing the noise, the left side. Checked the right side and all is good.
I haven't read anywhere that this is common.

Very nice. I've wanted the CCW 505a's ever since I bought my car. I went with cheap cast 19/20 Ruffs and have been unhappy with them. I ran into a curb and destroyed two of the wheels so I was forced to upgrade ; ) I went with a set of HRE 547r 3 piece forged. They look a lot like yours. Can't wait to see them on my car.

I misread then. Glad you found it. I have been plaqued with noise in my front end ever since I lowered my car and went with C6 Z51 Sways and C6 Z06 shocks. Usually with the wheels fully turned backing out of my driveway. I've suspected it was the endlinks not being tight enough. They are a real booger to fool with! I'm tearing out my front and rear cradle to replace them and am planning to go ahead and get the Featherlights to put in now as well. Your problem is the first I've read of this and doesn't make me question them. I'm still feeling Pfadt is the best choice. Hope to purchase them next week.
You mentioned you had the settings on their stiffest??

Some minor tweaks left. Overall stiffer ride, but not in a negative way. Cornering is instant and flat. Amplifies the need for better supporting seats. hint hint!!!

Only minor negative, which may go away with tweaking the damping. I will get an occasional thump in the suspension if I hit a rough spot on in the road. Which wasn't there prior to the change.

But...here you go..old

And ready to tackle the winding roads
This is great feed back ... Thanks for the knowledge

Hey meflyfrc, looks like the teflon has crushed out in your bearing prematurely. Not to worry, we will replace this for free and pay for shipping both ways. I already sent you a PM with the info. Doesn't happen often but we will get you taken care of. Just check your PM box.

Hi Architect. The teflon crushing out on a spherical bearing is not the end of the world. The worst case scenario is that in very few circumstances (like a low speed turn) you can hear a noise. This is no reason to overlook the dozen-plus performance features that we have on our coilovers versus the competition. Other coilovers use mono-***** too, on upper and lower mounts so you will have to take that extremely rare "risk" no matter which brand you choose. This is not something unique to Pfadt, despite what our competition may tell you. Since we are actually a USA manufacturer, we have this ability to service our coilovers versus other manufacturers having to wait for their non-USA "sources" to send replacement parts.

The bottom line is this is literally a same-day replacement, which is done completely for free. As others have mentioned in this thread, we take care of our customers, every step of the way.

If you have any other concerns about this, please do not hesitate to give me a call at the office on monday, and I will gladly answer any questions you have for warranty, or anything else about performance and features.

Thanks for the response and on a weekend at that. Coilover is out an ready to ship. Well, while I wait might as well clean the wheel well, amazing how dirty it can get in there.

Exactly. On a weekend. Customer service these days is a rare thing. Family run businesses seem to be the only ones who actually value and take care of their customers these days. Glad to hear you are already being taken care of. Sure makes me feel more comfortable about pulling the trigger on a set of Featherlights. Sure glad I found your thread. I also read how GM has licensed the DA Pfadt Coilovers. That's a pretty big deal right there. I assume that it is basically GM saying that those are the best Coilovers for their cars. GMPP branded.

BTW, that rear shot of your car sure has me wanting the TS rear bumper. I bought the Corsa Indy Pace exaust w/Tiger Shark tips just in case I ever got one of those. After seeing your car I have to have one. Do they even make them anymore?

Check with JW Motoring, that's where I purchased my TS rear fascia a few years ago. Last I heard, production of the TS fascias were on hold. Jonathan could give you an update.

So did you get a replacement? Have you had some drive time with the coilovers yet?

The replacement is suppose to show up Monday. I returned the coilover to have the lower spherical changed. It turned out the damper valve was sticking which may have contributed to the teflon issue and also the oil that I found in the box when I opened it.

Well I received the new Coilover as promised... Got it installed and the clunking noise appears to be gone. The coilovers make a noticeable difference in handling. It not an inexpensive mod but man I wish I had done this long ago. Much better ride than being lowered on bolts. I currently have them dialed in to full firm, and the cars cornering is instant and flat. I will play with the adjustment until I get them dialed in right where I want them.

Two thumbs up for Pfadts product and service.

Oh and how bout those RAVENS !!!!
