Single turbo build?
I'm really considering a single turbo build in my c5 but I really don't know where to start, I cant afford to go out and but a nice kit and I'm in no hurry so I wondered if it would be better to slowly piece together everything needed. My goal is about 450 rwhp, so what would be my best bet to achieve my goal through a single turbo kit and what components would I need to buy? Thank you all in advance!

I dont mean this to be rude or mean, just an honest answer. If you dont know what to buy then you should NOT try to piece together a kit. Honestly, if you dont know the parts of a turbo kit you shouldnt have a boosted car at all. It takes a LOT of money to own a boosted car and always have to pay someone to build/fix/troubleshoot everything becauser you dont know how it works.

You could stay non boosted and get pretty close to those numbers, cam, intake, heads, and a tune, its more straight forward in my opinion, then after you got bored with that you could add a turbo or blower, this would give you a better platform for the boost, there are some great shops in Texas.

There are a lot easier ways to get 450 HP than trying to build your own turbo kit.
head/ cam/ headers/ tune will get you over 500 with the right combo or you could go blower. I have seen procharger kits sell used for 3k, new for 5-6k
