- ACI front lip and side skirts
- Mantic ER2 clutch/flywheel
- New slave, speed bleeder, other necessary clutch parts
- Poly torque tube couplers
- FAST 92 intake manifold
- Ported LS2 throttle body
- Catch can
- Shift ****
The exterior will get a nice refresh with the new body parts and I have a couple other plans not mentioned.
That's one great thing about Winter - the car is off the road so you can take your time & do a bunch of mods!

After some thought, I'd rather live in a warm year round area!
Thanks for all the kind words, guys. I'm pretty excited this year as last year all I really did was new seats and switch to E85.

I go back and forth on it. Obviously, I love driving the car but there's something special about taking it out that first time after hibernation.

What kinda numbers are you expecting from the HP upgrades ?

Thanks Mark! I'm not expecting a ton quite yet. Hoping for 10-15whp gain but the manifold likely won't be ported this year. I would like to CNC the 243s to really open things up but the budget won't allow that this year. Regardless, it's a good starting point now.
I just had to do something to differentiate our cars a bit I'll definitely post pics after the refresh!

You going to get a Dyno tune to take advantage of the FAST manifold and LS2 TB?
Do a write-up on changing the TQ Tube couplers with pictures - please!
Thanks,Matt
I sure do! I have free lifetime tuning so I'll definitely get the tune re-done. It's just a street-tune so I'll have to hit the rollers again to check the gains but my starting point is 422/405.
I won't actually be the one doing the clutch/TT install but I can ask for some pictures along the way. I probably won't get anything too detailed as far as step-by-step but one of the locals did the whole job on jackstands and documented it here...it should be helpful: http://www.midwestlsx.com/forum/show...install-How-To
I don't have any pics, but I have a whole pile of stuff waiting to go on in the spring too:
- AFR 215 mamofied heads with upgraded valve train
- Custom cam to match heads (227/231 .61X lift 114+2)
- Ported Fast 92
- Ported LS2 TB
- New oil pump
- New water pump
- New lifters
- New fuel injectors
- New pushrods
- New rockers
- New timing set
- New tunnel plate custom made by a local fabricator
- New bi-xenon ACA headlights
- New clear corners with LEDs
- New LED halo rear tail lights
- New reverse light housing and LEDs
mine's been sitting for about six months now, finally gonna register it in the coming weeks so i can drive it come spring.
Stefan! Good to hear from you man, how's everything? I see you're in Germany now...that must have been quite the move. Glad to see you still got the Z. Anything new done to it?

Sheesh...I spent way too much money this winter!
Dang, your wallet definitely took a harder hit than mine! Glad I took care of most of that a couple years ago. It'll be worth it though.

I sure do. Still planning things out but it'll be ready when the snow/salt clears and we reach into 40* temps. It's been -10* here the past few days with -30* wind chills...yikes.

Well we're pretty close. Really the only major difference is coilovers, heads and the mod-red interior (which I'm still searching for and uber jealous). After I get the ACI kit installed along with a couple other things I neglected to mention, no one will confuse my car with yours anymore! By the way, did you ever make a decision on new tires?

yep, been here since mid july 2012 now. the car has been sitting in a garage while i've been apartment hunting. the housing market is a bitch around here but i finally found something decent two months ago. now i'm looking into registering / insuring the car so i can drive it come spring.
haven't done anything since i put on the stingers exhaust except euro tail- and headlights to make it street legal over here gotta get a rear fog light installed too (will be using one of the taillights for that) before i can legally drive the car.
other than that my #1 mod priority is to get some decent seats installed. gonna test-sit some recaro pole positions some time soon.
btw, i'm going back to NJ for mega nator meet in april. should be fun again this year

Yes I did choose my tires. I went with the Bridgestone RE-11 tires.
275/30/19, and 305/30/19. After much research I feel these should work very nicely for me. I got a smoking deal at my local Firestone dealer. Saved over $300 over going to TireRack...
I will have them on in a couple weeks. They are just sitting my garage right now...

keep us updated on the progess of your car!
Sounds like things are going pretty well for you. It'll feel like an entirely new car with a seat upgrade. I managed to get my Corbeau's for only $200 after selling my stockers. Well worth it! I'll definitely post pics after everything gets done. Take care, Stefan.

VERY happy to see you went with those. Please post your driving impressions as those are likely my next tire too. If they can stick with your power, they'll work just fine for me!

I'll make a post in the General forum about my impressions.
