Default Help replacing front turn signal light

What is the best way to replace my passenger side front turn signal bulb on my 2004 C5 ? It has blown out and the turn signal is very rapid due to this. Do I have to remove the nose mask ? It was a struggle getting it on. Thanks

Jack the front end up about 12"-18" and remove the plastic cover in the front corner and you can get your hand in there!

Or take out the headlight assembly and reach down to get at it!

You may have a hole burned in the top of the housing; caused by the heat of the bulb. this hole, allows moisture from rain, or car wash into the housing, burning out the bulb.

this happens on many many C5's.

You most likely need to replace the housing, which is not difficult, or your new bulb will just get wet too, and burn out again and again.

There are other posts here, showing how to do this. Just need to get new housing, raise the front of the car a little, so you can get at it.

This is the access panel under the front fascia. Held in by a few screws.

I used the "in through the brake duct" method, and it worked, but one one side I chipped the paint in the process . My hand caught a flake of paint and the clearcoat came off about the size of a dime. Doesn't look that bad, but I can always notice it, and my hands are not that big. I wear a medium size glove and it was a tight squeeze.
