I didn't have to remove my wheels to install mine. I cleaned the area good with alcohol and used a small pick tool to pull and hold in place. Mine have been on for over 4 years with no problems at all.

You can turn the wheel but its much easier to remove the tire. You have to take off the acess panel in the fender then 2 more screws that hold the rubber thing in that you see now. You want to make sure you clean the area really well before you stick on the tape and grill. Its very very easy.

I didn't remove my wheels either. 6 years and still secure.

When I installed my side cove screens, I took the wheels off, then the rear lower fender liner and finally the cove block off plate behind the fender liner. Cleaned the area really well and used plenty of double sided tape to secure the screen to the cove opening. Been on there for three years with no problems.
