Default Part # please

I've got a 2003 vert and I was working on the center console and broke one of the black screw cover inserts on the inside of the console and am looking for the part # so I can replace it. See below pictures. Dealer wasn't very helpful. Said if I could get him a part number he would be able to order it. So I could use some help. Thanks in advance.

P.S. first time posting photo's so I hope they come out alright.

Contact Patrick (patrickt) GMParthouse.com. He should be able to help you get the right number.

I didn't even try to replace mine, what I did was wiped the lip on the console with a lil alcohol, used a wee-bit of silicone, sat it down, can't tell, and it's still easy off, easy on, if I need it to be.....

Great idea and I'll probably end up doing that if I can't get a part number for it.

Thanks

Time to find yourself another dealership!

Part no. 10247710 (2) filler

I'm more than curious. Let us know what the dealer wants for this!

I'm always tempted to look at alternate sources before I resort to the dealership.

Yep, let us know, I'd be more interested in the S&H fee's charged.

Ron222,
Here you go.
Pretty sure that part has become discontinued from GM.

For some reason, the pics are not showing up on this end. But if te parts you need are the covers that go on the back of the center console and cover the hold down nuts, I think that part has been discountined (I tried to buy some last year and was told they were unavailable).

If you can't find the parts from a dealer, try Marc at VetteNuts. He's helped me out a bunch of times with hard to find parts.

Thanks for all the help guys, but unless I can find this little devil more reasonably priced I think I'm gonna go with the silicone fix that Renegad44 suggested. It's not that I'm cheap I just can't bring myself to pay that much for a piece you hardly ever see.

I've been able to locate the part....it's under $4.00 but the shipping runs anywhere from $9.95 to $15.00. Don't understand why they can't put it in a small bubble envelope and send it USPS for $5.00, we do it all the time at the shop I work at.

Dan,
I checked with my local dealer and that part number doesn't even show up on his database...checked with another dealer and it showed up as being obsolete. As I said before the prices I've found on line are less then $4.00 each but the shipping kills ya. Anywhere from $9 - $15.00. I think I'm going to go with what renegad originally did, a little silicone will work just fine. No one but me really sees it and it's not like it needs to hold up a house.

Thanks everyone for you advice/help

I would be doing the same!

You can buy a bucket of silicone for $15.00.

Me neither.... but I'm not going to spend $9.00 - $15.00 more for shipping charges. Just can't do $13 - $19.00 for a little piece of plastic. A dab of silicone will work just fine for me.

You are welcome. Keep the link and you can find just about any part.
Then you have a part number and might be able to track the part at a cheaper price. I use that site all the time.
