Ok cool, thanks very much for the input. Im 6'6, 205 and a 34 inch waist, so finding something that will work is difficult. I was hoping the lower sides would make climbing in and out easier
1) Is the seat laterally offset from the center of the steering wheel? In other words if you snapped a photo from the front of the car point directly at the center line of the steering wheel would the seat be centered or offset? What is estimated offset?

I test fit some Imola's, among other seats, at my HPDE this past weekend. The craftsmanship of the Cobra seems a bit higher than a comparable Sparco, but not much. I tested a Sparco Evo II, the Imola and a Corbeax FX1 Pro. All fit me nicely at 190lb, 6'1", 33" waist, 34" inseam. The corbeax is quite the value, but the quality was not near the Cobra or Sparco, is not FIA approved, and offered the least amount of padding. That said the upgraded microsuade material on the Corbeaux was very nice in the C5Z. The Sparco EVO II and Imola, seem so similar to me in fit and comfort (short term), but the Imola tips the scale in its favor (for me at least) with is narrower base and shoulder bolsters for easier mounting and more flexible positioning in the C5. The Imolas I tested were actually mounted in a C6, using Marrad mounts and sliders. Some observations I saw with the Imolas in the C6: There was not enough helmet clearance for me with standard cushions (slider removal or thinner cushions would probably provide the clearance). The seat was mounted off center from the steering wheel. Did not feel weird sitting in the car, but it was obvious from outside looking in through the front. He also had to shave the shoulder bolster and the tunnel-side of the seat some to prevent contact with door and tunnel, respectively.
