I hear ya on the bottom feeder. That's why I bought a second (Green) filter for my Honker to swap when I go through the cleaning procedure on the dirty one.
That's a good idea. I should pick up a second filter!
Yeah I still don't like you anymore Al, I was on the Ryan again today and it still sucks!
I am however going to Pensacola to visit family the end of March for 2 weeks and when I get back ,my motor will be in my car and ready for 200-300 break in miles before final Tune mid April! This is going to be a fun summer with 900hp+
Were did you live in Chicago area? I grew up in Tinley Park but my wife dragged me just over the border in Indiana!
Next time you are in the Chicago area you should give me a ring, hook up for some cold ones!

If it weren't for the rain we get here (and the odd bit of snow), mine would be on the road year round. I just find it hard to want to take the Vette out when I know it will need a complete cleaning when I get back.
74 degrees here in Sunny Southern Cali today. It's a tuff life here in this communist state. Maybe someday I will be able to escape. To ,,,,,,,,,, never mind.
Well just so you all don’t get too discouraged winter does come to Florida. It arrived last night and the high today has plummeted to 67 degrees. But winter will end Friday when the high goes back to 75 degrees. Guess I will have to all my winter mods done by this weekend. I hate winter.
Must be nice. I'm also from Chicago and we were getting use to the semi warm, snowless winter here. Well, we got about 2-3 inches last night and it's still cold as hell. I really need a new job in Florida, or should just move in with and bum off the father-in-law down in the Keys.

I lived in various areas throughout Chicagoland. I lived in the city when I was younger (single) and then moved to the burbs. I lived in Richton Park, Frankfort, Orland Park and eventually in Crete. I have friends all around the south/southwest suburbs. I used to work downtown Chicago, out near O'Hare and in the west burbs in Oakbrook and Lisle. I had customer accounts all the way to the Wisconsin border.
I have good friends that live in Dyer and St. John, IN. I usually pop into Chicago 3-4 times/year on business but depending on who the meeting is with, I usually stay in the city. I was in the NW Indiana area last fall and believe me, I kept my eye out for your car! If you ever see some guy trying to chase you down in a Dodge Avenger rental car, it might be me!
I will give you a shout next time I'm in the area. I just saw your engine build thread in the tech section. Wow! What a beast!
I too am in Florida for the worst of the winter. The down side is that the Vette is under her cover back in Ontario. Maybe I shouould buy a small trailer so I can get all our sh|t in it.
As a native Chicagoan, I know it was a balmy 12 degrees there today, so to reflect on the changes in my life, I took another "Vette Therapy" afternoon and drove down the Gulf of Mexico Drive here on the suncoast of Florida. 70 degrees, sunny and not a cloud in the sky! Stopped to check out some tourists soaking up the sun. I could tell they were European. Hint - Men over 50 and Speedos is not a good combination!
The hardest decision I'm having today is weather I want a nice yummy Chicago Style Pizza or a Rock star Chicago style Beef sandwich...........Hmmmmmmm.........such hard decisions!!!!!
Yes Al I know that was below the belt! But it feels so good to rub it in.!!!!

Hope you enjoy your Dominos and Pizza Hut!!
Ouch! That hurts!
One thing the west coast of Florida needs is more Chicago-style restaurants as there are too many east coast/NYC thin pizza restaurants.
We have Aurelios down in Naples/Ft. Myers and Joey D's in Bradenton, but not too many other options. Below was my reaction when they closed the Giordanos in Tampa and Brandon...
