I recently changed out the interior panels to mod red panels and I am very pleased with the results. Now I have my original solid black panels that I can't see me ever using on my FRC again, but, I don't seem to be able to offer them up for sale. They are in excellent condition and I have put them in the box that my mod red panels were shipped. I keep thinking, what if something happens to one of my new panels? I'll have replacement parts on hand!!!
I have perfectly good seats but I'm wanting some mod seats and I'm running out of storage space Anybody else suffer from this condition?

If you are keeping your car a long time, save everything you take off. Eventually, the day will come when it is time to sell/trade it in. Then you can sell off the good mods and return the car to stock; otherwise you will lose financially. At the same time you have spare parts for backup...just create some sort of storage system. Use those plastic see-through tubs, or whatever and label everything.
Big time.
I'm not a "hoarder" but I have a hard time tossing or selling items. Biggest products I keep are car parts, tons of old stereo equipment, and megatons of speakers. I don't know why I do this because I could sell the items for $ towards more mods.

I read this recently...see if it applies...
"I'm just one pile of stuff away from being an episode of Hoarders"
My car is highly modded and will Never sell it! If I do need to sell it, it will be sold as is!
Iv'e sold all the stock parts to make up for the modded parts cost!
All of you know that your never going to use the stock parts again, why kept them, sell them now while they are still worth some money. Plus I hate having a bunch of parts laying around my garage!

When I purchased all my Vette Essentials items, I bought used pieces to send back as cores and kept my original items - just in case I ever sold the car I could return it to original and then re-sell the VE stuff. So you are not alone - the only things I did sell outright were the factory seat covers.
I figure that the cash in hand over a period of time is worth more than a bunch of parts that I have to store and hope will return me the same amount at a later date... present value of money theory for me...
You should see my storage buildings....my stock body panels are hanging on the walls. To lazy to sell them and package for shipping. My seats are on the floor, again too lazy and hoping my son comes and sticks them in his El Camino.

Interesting dichotomy here...present value of money vs. future value of rare original parts!
