I recently installed the MGW short shifter. I haven't hard the car long, but I love short shifters and I heard this was the best. I wasn't a huge fan of the stock shifter so it was a no-brainer. I love it ... after I adjusted it. I watched the instructional video and they mention that they do special order longer shafts that are the same as the stock height shifter if you ask for it. I would advise people to get this. If you screw the shift shaft all the way in (which they recommend) and screw the **** on all the way, the shifter is too short, and doesn't feel like it gives enough mechanical leverage to shift well enough. I went back and adjusted the shift shaft (they say in the video that they recommend you put at least 8 full threads into the shifter so that you don't put too much pressure on it and snap it) and I adjusted the shift **** to be higher. The higher leverage point turned the shifter from too hard to use to perfect.
So long story short: I would recommend getting the longer shaft when ordering the MGW shifter so you can get the proper amount of leverage to shift quickly and accurately. Or, if you have the stock height shaft it comes with, don't screw it in all the way as recommended (and leave your **** a bit higher if you can).
Not a rant, just a few of my thoughts to potential future buyers.
I would strongly suggest the anti-venom modification with one washer. It will make the shift much easier and you could then return the **** hight to the suggested point.

Ah, I had never heard of this as I'm still new here. I read up on it a bit and it does seem to be a quick and easy fix for easier shifting. Personally where the shifting is right now feels pretty good, so I probably won't bother, but I had I known about it before I did my adjustments I probably would have done the anti venom modification first.
This truly is a personal preference issue. I've had my MGW for a couple years...short shaft, no anti-venom mod and installed as directed. I absolutely love it the way it is. Again...personal preference. It's a great shifter!

Bought mine used from a member here about 3 years ago and have yet to miss a shift...even drag or road courses...
I installed the MGW short shifter 2 years ago. I like it a lot. I dont have a problem with it popping out of R (as I did stock). I managed to also fit a 230g Razo shift **** onto it.
