I'm heading to the local 1/8 mile drag strip this weekend for the first time in my Z. I'm wondering what people with similar mods are running in the 1/8 and 1/4. 60fts are appreciated too. My mods are: ms3 cam, slp long tube headers, o/r x pipe, billy boat bullet exhaust, halltech venom II CAI, b&m ripper short throw, custom tune, and Mickey Thompson Et streets.
how is that even possible? my automatic srt8 300c ran a 2.0 60 on street tires and ran a 13.6.....
Your SRT8 didn't go the estimated 121 mph that Daniel quoted, that's the difference. But, he's also assuming you can't drive with that horrible 2.6 60 foot time . So he's assuming with a high trap you'll make up some time. Typical of a street car making HP that doesn't hook.
If your Z06 is truely capable of 120 mph trap speeds, (speaking 1/4 mile) then it should run anywhere between 11.30-11.70 depending on many things, mainly how well you 60 foot. Could be as bad as Daniel estimates if you drive that badly, in which case I'd run and hide
Bone stockers will go as quick as mid 12's if you can drive and DA conditions are favorable.
Just run it and see how it does, have some fun. Should make some power upstares with that MS3. I assume you are going to Beech Bend? What kind of power did it put down when tuned?

I haven't had it on a dyno yet, it was tuning on the road. But I'm going to sikeston, MO. If I don't work Saturday now that is.

If anyone has been to a drag race then they have seen that 99% of manual corvette owners blow at drag racing, even with drag radials. The vette isn't a drag car. I love when C6Zs pull up because you're guaranteed to watch it get owned by a 5.0

I view anything as drag race capable, but I'm a drag racing junkie. It's all about fun for me. I'll even take my truck for giggles I just like to see how quick I can make anything go.
But I do sort of agree with one point you made. It's not so much the vette owners or the car, but it's the general population that can't drive a stick properly. I used to run UMTR for a few years, loved it. Anyone can get behind an auto and stab and steer.
I took my old C5Z that had an intake, tune and exhaust on Faulken RT615 tires to the drag strip. I don't have my time slip in front of me but it was something like this...
1.95 60ft
7.97 1/8 mile
93 mph
I would still get some wheel hop on some of the runs so I aborted them. I didn't think I could get into the 7's on street tires but to my surprise it did.
