LG Long tube install
I'm installing a set of the LG's and the headers don't have any tabs to attach them to the bell housing? I found an online install for the LG's and they have them in there install? Anyone else installed and didn't have the tab's ? I pan on calling LGM in the morning but have an inch to know now..

the newer ones don't have the tab... I remember reading somewhere that those mounting tabs either broke off or caused a crack in the housing where they bolted to so they eventually quit making the headers with that tab... i have had mine installed for a little over a year with zero issues... basically you have nothing to worry about

The tabs were originally provided for alignment when installing the headers. You were supposed to attach them to line up the headers, then unattach them when the whole installation was finished. I initially attached them and drove my car for two years with them still attached. I kept them unattached after doing my clutch. I had no problems either way and no cracking.
