im looking for some rea nitto etreme rII 305/35/18 and was wondering where the cheapest place is to get them
I was also considering these tires or a different brand in that size. Was also wondering where to look. It seems that this size isn't very popular as tire rack and discount tire didn't have anything. I'm running a 18x10.5 rear. Currently have 295/35/18 but would like a little more width next time. I will only consider a non-run flat high performance tire.
Your all crazy, go to your friends at a dealership, tell them to invoice you some nice tires and a cheap price then head over to discount tire and have them price match.
Tis' my plan to do here very shortly, plan to be at about $800.00 for all 4 installed with warranty for some michelin's.
Btw... If you guys know cheaper better out there LET ME KNOW!
My local Discount Tire is about $750 out the door for Nitto 555's which was a pretty decent price.
To the OP -- you can imagine that this is a very regular topic in these pages, so use the search feature to learn more about non-factory sizes- - then check the Forum sponsors including TireRack, Tire Depot and PTS
I doubt very seriously that there is one place .pricing is regionalized and subeject to market demands. If a local dealer has lost volume or a new tire store opens with aggressive pricing - -individual stores adjust.
You can explore on line, get tire rack, discount, etc and then go to a place locally to see if they'll match the best price and get tires mounted - - -there's no short cut except to avoid buying at car dealer. You buy on line, you have shipping and mounting costs - - it's a shell game.
Watch Craig's list for new car take-offs or try a local Corvette Club . . or a recycle yard that specializes in Corvettes - - I wouldn't hesitate to buy just because the car's been wrecked if you can thoroughly inspect the tire for impacts or twisted belts.
Lots of options IMO, but no single source. Maybe put your location into your profile so people where you live can provide input.
Love my 555rII's on my 800hp c5. Great handling, noise is tolerable, does fair in the rain surprisingly, and is predictable when you kick the azz end out with some throttle.
