Hi everybody.

The exterior color is Medium Spiral Grey and Torch Red for the interior.
In december, just before buying this vette, I used the Compnine website to decode the VIN of the car.
One thing I don't understand. Only 4 cars with the Medium Spiral Grey and Torch Red options should exist.
But only in 2003 or for all years?
I don't know... I've read that Medium Spiral Grey was only introduced in 2003. Is it true?

Yes. Medium Spiral Gray was only available in 2003 and 2004. The color replaced "Pewter".
The MSG and Torch Red interior is a rare combo, however I've seen a few pictures over the year. I think only 4 C5s with this color combo is low. I'm sure someone will chime in with the actual count.
That is a fairly rare combo, but 4 seems low. Out of 35,469 cars in 2003, 3,299 were Medium Spiral Gray, and 1,969 had the Red interior. Using those figures to extrapolate, you could estimate that 183 cars had this combo. I'm pretty sure production numbers for specific combinations weren't recorded, and I'm not sure how Compnine comes up with their estimates.

My '04, which I bought last October, has this combination. While other cars that I saw had lower mileage, these colors were the main reason that I bought this particular car. I don't have pictures because I hadn't figured out how to post before I covered the car for the winter.
Also, according to the build sheet that I got from the museum, the car was ordered with the white vinyl top. It was shipped to a dealership in Louisiana, so the white top makes some sense for their climate. It now has the darker cloth top; I do not know when it was changed. It also has Cray five-spoke black rims with a chrome trim ring, which really show well against the gray body.
I also would love to know how many C5s have these colors, especially if it is as rare a combination as it appears to be.

I've never seen that color combo. Mine is the way more typical Spiral Gray with light gray interior.
Funny, when I bought the car, I thought it was really different as I had only seen pictures of spiral gray Vettes, never seen one up close. Now that I own the car, I've seen four twins in the Raleigh, NC area.
So much for unique, but I still like that color.
That is an awsome color combo! I would love to see one. I think Bill's car is something like that, now that I think of it.
If it's Mr Bill you refer to, I believe his is pewter/firethorn. That's a definite for the exterior, but not a positive on the interior. It's possible it could be TR. I'm sure he'll chime in.

Mr. Bill has a beautiful Pewter coupe with Torch Red interior.

If I ever get another C5 it will be Medium or Dark Spiral Grey and a torch red interior would look great.
