Is this bad window regulator?
Is this a cause of a bad regulator? As I said it does not happen all the time. I'd say 50% of the time. Valet has been on for a cpl years but it has been doing this past few months that I've noticed as I haven't driven it as much here lately.
Anyone else run into this?
Thanks

I mean it's not much, maybe a 1/4"-1/2"max difference between them. Driving me simple trying to figure out why it's doing that now. Was so nice to be able to get out of car and click 3X when your walking away and know everything was shut and locked.
First time it happened I got out to run in store real quick and did everything as I always have. Shut door 3 clicks gone.
Only to come back out and find windows down, doors locked and luckily the new Escort 9500ix still on window and laptop on seat. Guess they figured if I left it like that I must have been right there watching it.
So now it's shut windows before I get out or stand and watch it before I walk away.

Who would've thought just something as simple as reading the directions sheet could fix a problem?

I guess it had been so long I forgot "how to recalibrate windows" was on there.
All done & fixed !!
In case anyone has similar problem here's a quick rundown. Just in case Mr Bill's link ever doesn't work.
1. pop off valet and get last 4 of serial # and write down or remember and reinstall.
2. sit in car key off & out, windows up or down doesn't matter.
3. press reset on DIC and door unlock button to enter config mode, will hear 3 chimes.
4. After chimes press 4,1,2 and your 4 digit pin(last 4 serial#) horn will toot, windows will cycle, reset limits, horn will toot again.

Wala Your done !!
I said toot cause that's what the directions say it does.

Also keep your eye on it and make sure it works, Never trust it, When you least expect it they will go down...lol Nothing like coming out of the store and find your car with the windows down...

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
, like I said above the first time it happened to me I was surprised. Don't know whether more surprised they were down, or all my stuff was still there in the wide open begging to be snagged.
But at least now(if I can remember) it'll be an easy 15 second fix.
reset/unlock 4124215 bamalam!!

I'm sure a few others do also, see them on eb for 136ish, there's one on auction now and it's at like 51 + 6 with 3 days left. Just search corvette valet.
