I try to make Sebring and Petit Le Mans at Sebring every year. I would like to make the west coast for one of the races as well. Laguna Seca, Sears Point, and Portland are all great tracks. :yesnod: The C5R teams are very friendly as well stop by before or after the race.
Two years in a row is a mojor accomplishment. Hpoefully GM wont pull the funding and the #63 team can try and tie the all time record of three wins in a row set by the Audi team this year. Now if GM can just get a little more performance in the Caddy program! How cool would it be to win two classes?
The corvettes and the porsche GT-3 are not in the same class, the GT-3s are stock with a small restricter plate added, so we can't brag about beating them with a corvette that is not stock and civilians can't buy.

I was there, and I totally agree with you. There is nothing like seeing one of these races in person. It's truely awesome. Just remember to bring earplugs. I love engine sounds as much as the next guy, but if you don't have ear plugs, you won't be able to hear the engines after a few hours.
As for the 3 in a row, it's not a record. Audi is the 6th manufacturer to have 3 in a row. Bently got it like 70 years ago. Jag got it in the mid 50s. Ferrari in the early 60s, Ford in the mid 60s. Porsche in the 70's I think. And Audi got on sunday. I believe one of those manufacturers has a 5 win streak (porsche I think). And those are overall wins, not class wins like the C5R has. But still...I want them to keep funding it. And Keep funding the Cadillacs (more money! I hear Audi outspends them 3 to 1). These races are awesome, and are a true test of engineering, determination.

it is amazing. If you camp in the infield at Daytona during the 24hrs. you can sleep at night with the race running, and the sound not bother you. :yesnod: Also you can during raceday at Sebring if you were partying all night :jester:

Audi has a long way to catch Porsche who had 7 in row during the 80s and Ferrari scored 6 in a row durin gthe 60s. But that was with different cars and drivers. http://www.club-arnage.com has the stats on past wins.
