Default Radar

Hello,
Where and how much can I get a good radar for my C5?

I want one that is not sooooo expensive but can be hidden or not that noticeable. Are there any wireless one, cause the wire (cord) is eaisly seen.

Thanks!

Use the search feature for key word "Escort" and "Valentine" - - truly hundreds of posts you can learn from.

My preference is Escort . .

I got my Cobra at Wally World for 185 bucks. Haven't got 1 speeding ticket, no real complaints about it other than I want a radar built in to the car so I dont have to have it on the dash

Do alot of research before you buy. You want a radar system that
can actually help you on the road. The cheapest radar will be along
way from the best--good luck.

Escort Passport 9500ix will give you protection against speed traps, red light cameras and speed cameras in addition to radar detection. It also could be linked to Escort Live combined with your smart phone, which will give you access to a network of other Escort units down the road. This way you'll have access to advanced notifications of what's ahead of you.

I have the escort solo with a blend mount. That might be the combo for you. It's reasonably priced, works well, is small and barely noticable with the blendmount, and runs on batteries so you don't need to worry about hard wiring it or having cords dangling all ove the place

This.
For about $500, you get one of the best units on the market. GPS enabled, updateable programming, a zillion settings, smart technology. It remembers false signals and stores them to memory. After a while of driving around an area, it only alerts you to real threats- even on it's most sensitive setting.
I highly reccomend it.

If your interested I'm looking to get rid of my Passport Solo S2. I think I used it maybe twice. I bought it and two weeks later had K-40's installed in my car's. $ 150 shipped.

+1 on the 9500ix, got mine mounted tight up to rear view, wired into rear view. No cords blends in with mirror and in stealth/blackout mode have taken it thru VA many times and saved many times and been passed & followed without being noticed or detected.

I originally had a V1 and it was great albeit annoying. I have always wanted one and got it in a trade. Really good detector! The arrows pointing towards the radar are very very helpful Well, I am a tech kind of personand read about the 9500ix with Escort Live and bought one. Escort is seeling them for about $200 down and then $29+/month for 12 months debited from your regular bank account(with Visa or MC logo) and no interest. It has been great and has tech that the V1 can't offer. It is mounted with a blend mount udner my rear view with the power tap mirror cord. I got the hardwire smartcord live with bluetooth and mounted it ain the ashtray bin. I get notifications along the routes I take if a cop with radar has been spotted on my Android phone app. My son-in-law is now using the V1 and it ahs saved his rear end several times.

I've been using the V1 for many years and it has features no other can match. Has saved my rear many times, especially when knowing where and how many radar sources you are encountering. I have it tight next to the mirror and hardwired to the key. $400 and worth it.
