I might try to sell my really nice '97 C5 (real early S# 771). It a Torch Red car with both (red and see-through) tops. Automatic with 46k miles. Corsa exhaust; thin spoke GM aluminum wheels; basically new tires; new a/c compressor. No expense spared in upkeep on this really nice car. Probably not worth much; right? I might need to keep it. I have a '65 Coupe that has stopped depreciating. This one will probably do the same if I keep it long enough. Any thoughts on value?
Thanks,
Mike
It sounds like you have a really nice, low-mileage car with some nice upgrades too. Unfortunately, I think your model year is going to hurt the price more than your low mileage will help the price. I would value your car at about $13k.

There are plenty of buyers out there for an A4 car - GM made a bunch of them during the C5 run. Price it right and it will sell, especially if it is in great shape.
I see them all over Clist and the auction site for at least 15 that year with close miles bottom line just nada it and don't listen to people talk about the year cause in the end your 97 looks just as good as there 2004
I got 18 for my 99 with 67k miles last year it's a corvette If its clean it will sell

If it's pampered, and it shows it you should get close to 14500-15000 come spring...don't let the nonsense about model year get to you...it matters none that later years have a few different options that weren't available in 97....the 'core' is there, and it is a Vette.

isn't that kind of conflicting if nada is 12,525avg and 13,850 clean?
Oh please, Its not so much about the year as the condition of the car! Basically they all [c-5's] look the same. i've got a '55' Chevy bel Air that I could easily trade for a new car or even an allmost new vette.
I sold my last "97" a couple years ago for $19,000 because the car was super nice and fast! You guys are too hung up on year model.
