Default Is this a possibility?

Purchased our Vette 5 years ago and have NEVER had even a drip of any fluids on the garage floor. (now has 51,000 TLC miles) FINALLY the weather has started to moderate and the temps Friday and Saturday prompted a nice sunny drive. When we pulled out of the garage, I noticed a few small drips of oil driver side front. Now, it has been sitting for over 2 months, been on a trickle charger, but not started. This January here it has been one of the coldest in 149 years. I know in heat things expand, in the extreme cold could the gaskets or seals contract to the point of a small amout of leak?

Seals can dry out...get it up in the air and inspect...then drive it a bit...probably be fine.

Drive it, then get it up on a lift so you can inspect for leak.

Might want to get under the car and see if you notice any leaks. If so, clean the oil (or whatever it is) off and then drive the car. Come back, put something under it and see if the drips reappear.

I have restored a 73 Tbird that belonged to my Dad. I replaced all the seals less than a year ago. I don't drive it very often and those new seals have started leaking every so slightly. Sounds like yours may be doing the same. It did develop a power steering hose leak a few weeks ago and I replaced the defective hose and that stopped that. So it could be any number of things I suppose. Give it a workout and see.

Confirming the fluid.. as mentioned. Take a few paper towels, put them on the floor where you park. you can then confirm the fluid. My guess ( because of the position) is that you have a coolant leak either from the radiator hose or by the driver side radiator expansion tank. these tanks are crimped on and the rubber seal could have dried up...its also possible that it may reseal with some driving. The first thing you have to find out is if its Oil, coolant or power steering fluid.. putting a paper towel on the floor will give you a better idea where exactly to look for the leak.. although the coolant leaks can travel a bit along the radiator and frame. Just a place to start.
Good Luck
