My DD bezel arrived from Dennis a while back and in a few weeks I will be installing a DD Kenwood DNX9960 and adding a Kenwood CMOS-210 rear view camera. I have already bench tested the camera and works as it should.
My question is what is the beat way to feed the wiring at the very rear of the car? I plan on mounting the camera just above the license plate frame area.
Also I need to tap into the backup light wiring (light green) what is the best way to do this? Can you just remove the reverse light/plate holder to gain access?
These are the basic steps: You will need to remove plastic paneling in the car along the path of the wire... pick a side of the car. With the paneling remove, you may be able push some of it under the carpet as needed but your basically going to follow the body panels. Alternatively, if you were sound deadening and had all the carpet taken out, you could put it completely under the carpeting. Once you get to the end of the car, you will need at some point to drill a hole from the inside to get the wire from the cabin of the car to the bumper.
