My '02 11,000 mi Z06 sure sounds good but too loud. It is performance cammed, LG long tube pro headers, 3" pipes w/small cats. I started with Borla stingers but loud and got a drone. I looked at the Corsa Indy Tiger Shark setup and with the stock looking oval mufflers I thought that's the ticket. It sounds so good it makes my leg wet and @ about 5 grand sounds like an indy car. I tried the foam partition and it helps but - - - -
The You Tube commandos really don't help me because you never know what's ahead of the cat backs and it's not real world sound anyway. I want to hear my exhaust but would like to also hear my expensive electronic sound conversion inside as well.
I know I could trade these almost new never in the rain cat backs but for what?
Any ideas welcomed.
LG headers with Corsa Indy exhaust and sounds pretty tame around town till I stomp on it and like the op said sounds like a damn indy car taking off.. But I love how it sounds..
Ask your neighbors how they like it. When I was 17 I had Thrush mufflers so everyone would look at me. I was impressed with myself while I made the community upset with offensive noise. Even now I have friends with loud boats. May sound good from the drivers seat but folks outside hate it. The only valid reason to have that junk is if you are at the track.

Yep me too - I have a rear entry garage - slip the clutch a little and rump rump 3 houses down to the street. 3 reasons I haven't gone back to stock TI 1) they cost too much & I foolishly traded mine on the 1st set of Borlas 2) yeah, sometimes I like the sound better than the music inside. 3) the underside hasn't seen a rainy road so any used ones I would trade for would require hours of polish (probably). The only power upgrades are a Halltech breather, 25% under drive crank pulley & perf. cam. It tuned on the dyno @ 425.2 hp. on the rear wheels. Nothing to brag about compared to others out there but it gets this 70 yr old's attention - still 25 between the ears. Don't really know what to do - doesn't make any noise in my garage where it sits most of the time. Just an over the hill drag racer and I have 1 get out of jail pass from my local detective friend for giving him a good deal on an AR!
Thanks y'all for your experience and thoughts.

I like the sound of Flowmaster mufflers. They have whole systems for your car too. Their website has a video that will demostrate the sound of their systems. If I were to change the my exhaust system I would look at Flowmaster first.
The flowmaster sound reminds me of the muscle car days. When I hear those pipes I always think about big engines and hot rods. There's some good memories there.
try going with the stock zo6 ti exhaust with the modifications. sounds pretty stout. personally i think b&b prts sound the best. nice and mellow with normal driving and such. the second you stab the gas it pretty much acts as straight pipes. nice and loud with a great higher pitch tone. doesn't have that deep gurgle that alot of exhaust have. just my .02

I do not have headers on mine or any mods to the engine, but the Corsa Indy Pace car catbacks sound awesome on my car. No drone and when you step on the gas, sounds great.

If one does not like loud, leave it stock? I had a 51 Merc coupe, installed duals and Cherry Bombs, and pi$$ed off the entire neighborhood. My buddies and I loved it. MY Honda VTX 1800 with Hardchromes and no baffles can be heard a mile away. Loud is good, drone is good, stock is good depending on your preferences !!
