I said I wasn't going to do it (modding) but yet I couldn't help myself. It started with an oil change and while it's up on the ramps why not lower it on the stock bolts and do the anti-venom. You would think that should hold me for awhile.
Then I come out one day and I have a flat (rear) Since it's backup in the air with the tire off I might as well inspect the brakes which leads to painting the calipers. Well, you can't have half a job, so lift the front and do the fronts calipers so that they match.
While the tires are off I might as well take a peek at the BCM under the battery because it's getting a mail tune before summer.
And since the panels off why don't I put the cove screens and trim on...(still needs some clean up when it's dry)
I get to drive it tomorrow so it will be "all good" but I Still got plugs and wires, exhaust tips, detailing ;( and a clutch job to do by summer. She's a hard taskmaster, but she does please me so

I actually want them gone myself but haven't got around to it. I'm actually afraid of what I'll find under them. Sun fade that doesn't buff out, or a poor match on a re-spray. I think I'm going to lift one of the short ones on the fender and if it looks bad I can just put it back on.
She always mentions that I spend more quality time with the Corvette than I do her. I made the mistake of jokingly replying that it's because the Corvette only does what I ask it to do and never talks back. I paid for that comment...
Can you post a picture of your exhaust tips? I've looked at catalogs, but they don't always look the same on a car. I also have an '04. Thanks.
I have search high and low for tips that looked good enough for a vettte, I like the standard quads on the factory TI setup, or any of the quads along the angle cut dual wall design. I started looking at factory take offs (u-pull-it ) and was actually going to cut some off of a stock Jaguar that I liked. Quality chrome or SS and a good design.
I don't have a picture of them and time is short today but what I did find was a set of quads of off a 98+- Cadillac Eldorado that are a close copy but a little larger, more like the Corsa tips. They polished up nice.
I'll probably take some razzing for going this way but I'm not up to changing the whole exhaust....... yet

Funny that you say that. I basically told wife the same thing. I got a little stink eye from her . They just don't understand
