Default Source for IPC UV Bulbs?

I have done internet searches everywhere and have not found any source for these Instrument Panel Cluster bulbs (2). They are not in my parts book. Neither are they listed at GMPartsWarehouse. If someone at least has a GM part number that would be a start. Thanks, Sam

If no one here has a starting point, I guess I will have to start calling around to instrument panel repair shops.

It might be your search... they are black light not UV. I believe part number is 12198644

Thanks, I will contact them. Not sure if the originals were black light or UV. The info I found just called them UV which black lights are. There can be some difference in the color with black lights emitting more purple in the visible range and other UVs can be more blue in the visible range. It can also be symantics based on those selling them. Anyway I appreciate the response and will pursue. Sam

Went to GMPartsWarehouse with that number and it showed up, but not available. That tells me that it should be the correct number. Thanks again

OK, I have confirmed thru 3 sources, including the local Chevrolet dealership that there are 2 part numbers involved. Driver side is 12198644 and the passenger side is 16056613. I think they may be the same and each control panel (where they are mounted) came from different vendors. I now have a source bulbs for both and will let you know if they are actually identical.

PS: 16056613 is still available from GM and others. Only the above link seems to have the drivers side.

OK, here is a picture of these bulbs. The white one is p/n 12198644 for the left side of the IPC. The black one is p/n 16056613 for the right side of the IPC. As you can see they are different in size. The right ones are still available from GM. I searched and found 2 left side ones on the internet from a dealer in Georgia. They were the only ones I could find anywhere and they only had 2.

The two UV lamps are not replaceable as a separate item. Find a donor IPC. I see them for sale fairly often on the Bay, etc.

Yes, in another post I did on this subject I found out last night that the actual UV bulbs are several inches long and soldered in. I started asking about this 6 months ago. Sometimes it takes time to get people who know to help out.
