i orded them last night from gmpartshouse, but just seeing what kind of project i am getting my self into? From all that I have read it seem the general consensus is that they make a big difference?
Best tip I can give you is to compress the shocks with your body weight and zip tie them in the partially compressed position to make installation easier.
It's pretty straight forward in terms of installation, though.
Removing the old ones might be a little bit difficult. I used a small jack to slightly compress the shocks but you'll have to be quick in slipping them out.

Zip ties work good. I was lucky on the old shocks. No pressure left in them. They came right out.
Becareful when installing the rear shocks. You dont want to cut, nick or tear your CV boots. I compressed mine with stranded copper wire. Then I installed them and cut the wire loose. I drilled a pin hole in the old shocks. Little messy but it eased the removal of the junk shocks.
The first one, front and rear will be a pain, but the second ones will have you wondering why you were so clumsy! Just be sure to compress them and tie them with something. Removing and installing.
They def stiffened up my ride, not sure yet how much i like it,( put less then 200 miles on them before winter) The sway bars were Great felt alot stiffer on the bends,.
As alot of people have said compress them and ziptie them make sure you have good zipties
I used Stainless bailing wire but that was because this is what we had at work
While i was at it I also changed...ya ready ?
Upper and Lower Ball joints front and rear, inner and outer tie rod ends front and rear, Sway Bars, bushings and Sway Bar links and lowered the ride height...all this in less than 8 hrs. Oh BTW; while the rear was apart I also replaced the output shaft seals too !
56k on the clock and it rides and handles probably better than when it was new
I just changed mine out and all I did was undo all 3 bolts then take the lower ball joint loose and whalla they come right off and then install the new ones. All you need is a Jack,a jackstand, and a ratchet, sockets, and a set of star wrenches.
