Keep shopping, as stated by others here. It seems to me, as if you aren't sure exactly what you do want. That's okay. Just don't buy, until you are sure. If you want an automatic, don't look at manuals. If you want a coupe, don't look at verts, etc. Do you want BSM's, color, wheels; all these things matter.
Your car is out there, and certainly at a lower price than the one's you've mentioned in this post. Keep looking and don't settle!
*** Caveat: I am in NO way affiliated with John or his business other than having been a very happy customer for the last 15 or so years and 3 cars worth.
If you're willing to travel, John at Lomotion in Poughkeepsie, NY has every car you mentioned on his showroom floor and they are all showroom condition with VERY low miles. I don't recall exactly but I think 4000 miles was the highest I saw when I stopped by yesterday.
Every single car he sells has ALL fluids changed and he/they go over the car with a fine tooth comb.
Every single car he sells looks as good all over as mine when I picked it up.
(his website isn't up to date with all of the new cars on his floor)
It'd be a heck of a drive for service but I promise you a quality car. He doesn't give them away though so if you're looking for a low dollar car... don't bother. The old adage of "you get what you pay for" is generally proven true in the long run. There's another one that typically runs true as well: "The cheap usually ends up to to be expensive"
Good luck, I live in Columbia, SC. Buy the color combination you want, every car is hot in the Summer down here. I have a friend here with a Black on Black 2003 so I can put you in touch with him to discuss his car. I have a 2001 Vert. It is the only one in the toy box with air conditioning and I do use it in the Summer. If we can help you with inspecting a car(s) let me know. If you PM/email me with your phone number we can discuss.
Buy the vert. Sports cars should be verts.
Buy the one you want. They are all good.
Unless you are planning on "flipping" the car for a profit soon, pay a little more to get low mileage and exactly the colors and options that you want.
I bought mine here in California in October with a 6 speed and 10,905 miles for $26,999. This is an absolutely perfect car and still smells new, so I think your prices are a bit high. The Corvettes may be more expensive on e East Coast, but here on the West Coast $25,000 to $29,000 seem to be the going prices.
Good Luck and hope the above helps your decision making.
