First of all I can't take full credit for this set up. A friend of mine did these but hasn't finished his car yet. I've never liked black wheels but I fell in love with this set up so I asked if I could copy him with a twist. He's running the stock flat center cap but I used the C6Z cap to give the wheel more dimension.
They are 18x10.5 all around with Verdistein 295/35/18's front ane Toyo 305/35/18's back.
All comments are welcome. Enjoy.
Here you can see how much the fronts "poke" out. They may be out 1/4" over the 17x9.5's.
Thanks guys. I'm finally happy with the wheels on my car. I've been to car shows and cruise in's where I'm one of 3 or more silver c5z's with chrome speedlines on it. No more cookie cutter vette for me.
Hahaha...I've hade more love/hate from that little emblem.
Funny thing about those silver markers is they match perfectly from a dead on straight angle. Since the body rolls there they look too dark. They were black but there wasn't a light behind them so, for the cops sake, I made them look like a part of the car instead of a missing light. No one has stoppe me yet so ....fingers crossed.
Thanks. I printed it out from online and traced it on to a piece of 1/8" acrylic. I was actually able to cut it out with a grinder and a cut off whee. Nothing like killing a dove with a cannon huh? I imagine you can use a small toothed hand saw or a band saw.
Holy crap...Good eye bud. It happened before I bought the car but I soon found the damage. It had to be minor since there are really no frame/suspension parts damaged or marred. Best I can figure is it was a light hit that broke the fender, knocked the inner panel off the frame, and spider cracked the paint on the front bumper.
The inner fender panel has come loose from the frame since the repair so I will have to get in there one day and re-bond it together. That will fix all the sagging allignment issues.
Oh...the bumper to fender gap is because of the missing brackets that sandwich the parts together hence the sag. If any one has those brackets please PM me.
