I am in Johnsonville, SC an hours drive from Florence, Conway, Georgetown and Myrtle Beach and about two hours from Charleston and a little over two hours from Columbia and I need some help!
I am looking to borrow a set of FRONT OEM wheels with OEM tires (has to be OEM size). I am having the notorious TCS/ABS Service lights coming on and before I invest in getting the ABSFixer down I need to rule out that my current tires on my OEM wheels are not the problem. I really need help with this matter.
I am going to post up in the SE Region are also, but if you can help out I would appreciate it!
If you were up my way, you'd be more than welcome to use my spare set until they sell. Hopefully they sell soon but none the less.
IDK the actual parameters, but there on the forum after some digging there a percent that the fronts have to be of the rears for the traction system to not freak out. Id look for those numbers and if your within tolerance then go for the abs fixer. Have you replace the steering position sensor? I had these lights come on like 2 years ago, lol drove the car for ever with it like that (just hit reset every time i cranked the car haha......I know i know smh) but anyways mine turned out to be the steering position sensor.
Good luck man, and if you happen to wanna make the drive, lol I'm here.

What sized tires do you have right now on the front and the rear? Need tire brand and size info, like "295/35-18" for example.
Also, is the tread wear about the same on the front and rear tires? Don't have new on the front and worn on the rear, or vice versa?

The rears are not the problem, they are stock sizes back there (FYI).
The fronts are BFG KDWs, size 255/40/17 with 80% thread life left. The problem is that the narrower size has caused the ride height on the front to be a little more than 1/4" difference from stock and that is causing my traction control and ABS system to go crazy. Before buying new tires I wanted to rule this theory out. Looks like I'm just going o have to buy the tires. Bridgestone has the correct size and are reasonable. I'll leave the KDWs on the rear for now. This problem has sucked to deal with for sure.

The 255/40-17 is about 0.9" smaller in diameter than the 295/35-18.
It's true that the rear tires need to be ~0.5" taller than the fronts for the TC/AH to be happy (so they say on this board). Never heard if having too much difference between front and rear (rears being taller) also causes problems or not.
Hit the "Specs" tab for all the tire dimensions, etc.
Try this. Put about 40 psi in the front tires and put about 20 psi in the rears to help reduce the diameter difference and see if that cures the issue. Can't hurt to try.
Thanks for the offer, I went ahead and ordered an entire set of tires all around. I am just going to sell the KDWs. They only have about 15 thousand miles on them and have good thread life left, but I am going to just go back to the stock sizes to get things moving in a forward direction. Hopefully once I clear everything out and get a few miles on the car, things will be back to normal.
