Is my car the only one , that after driving it , you pretty much have to detail it again , Jesus man the amount of dust and dirt that collects on my car is unreal .....
No you're not the only one. Mine looked fabulous when I pulled it into the garage, you should see it now... sheesh. Looks like it's going to be the same as my other two, have to wipe it down every time it's going to leave the garage.

The Cali Duster works quite well on my torch red....I go around the vehicle before every new drive out....I keep it close to the car and whip around in a couple minutes....next best thing to a total wash/wax event.
It's a disease we have, I wish sometimes I could just let it get dirty and stay dirty for a day or 2, but I can't
What makes it worse is when you start having that same issue with every vehicle you own. I bought my truck for work but it gets the same attention as my Vette and it's kicking my A*#

I just get tired of dusting it , really it's not so much the car .... It's the
F..kin wheels that just beat the **** out of me , kinda funny though when the misses is going along with me , she now ask if the car is ready ... Now that's bad

Standard SOP around here.
Speaking of static cling, back in 1985 I owned a 1965 Corvette coupe. It was Nassau Blue and painted with Imron paint. Back then, I was using Meguires paste wax, and a diaper to buff. I would create such a static charge, it would jump a small spark! Do not know what caused it; possibly a poor ground.
Yes, it is truly amazing how much dust, soot, and road grime ends up on our rear ends after even a short drive. I usually give the back end a shot of compressed air before wiping down with detail spray.
Maybe we should be buffing our cars with Bounce dryer sheets instead of microfiber towels!

FWIW - I use Rejex on the car and the wheels and it really helps keep the dust / dirt off the car. I also switched to ceramic brake pads and that made a huge diff on brake dust and the wheels.

Now on another note, They do sell wax that is static free, Well almost.
I dust it off with a Ca Duster before I leave my house and when leaving work, I carry a Ca Duster in the back of the car My wife is used to the "prep" time before we go anywhere
