that was my basic reasoning as well. i basically bought a clean, no accident, perfect carfax car at the bottom of the market. i can enjoy it for a few years and brake even {or nearly so} when selling
buying it was just a no brainer.
also ordered a water pump & thermostat+housing. found some seepage around it {or it's a hose, need to troubleshoot tomorrow} and with the radiator out and system drained it's beyond easy to change. i think the ls1/6 has to be one of the easiest motors ever to do a water pump on
replacing the entire cooling system set me back like $450. that's radiator, hoses, pump, outlet etc.. all delco stuff too.
