One of the first and only exterior modifications I wanted to do to may 99 coupe is the ZO6 brake ducts. I held off for a year due to the price of the kit, but decided that its time to get the car where I want it. I completed the install today. Its too late now to take pics, but Ill post some up tomorrow sometime. They look great! And Im glad to have a functional setup, not some scratch and sniff BS slap on's .
But let me say this: What a pain in the a$$ job that was. I had an easier time installing my FAST92 and LS2TB plus all the custom work! Those wheel wells and inner brake ducts do not get along well. And the templates suck a big one. But I got through it safely and it looks like high quality work. (Patting myself on the back).
I think they look great as well. I bought a set from GM parts house that I have for sale in the parts section brand new in box if anyone is interested. I decided headers are a bigger priority after the fact lol.

Congrats on getting the ducts installed. You are a braver man than I was - I had someone do the work for me when I installed them on my '00. Just didn't trust myself to cut the holes right. Looking forward to seeing the pics.

Looks good. How bad we're the templates to get lined up?
The templates are basically guidelines. I had to keep shaving in areas where the inside would hit until it slid in and out easy. And the bolt holes I didnt trust at all. You just have to see where they touch and drill there.
But the good thing, for anyone who does this, there is allot of room for error. The lip around the outside of the screen piece is about an inch wide. So you can make allot of mistakes and still have everything covered when it bolts on.
