Not too bad, but it follows what GM does with the Camaro and Vette motors - L98 in the Vette had more as well as the LT1 etc.
However, I would rather see the LS7 remain with 505 HP instead of the lower 485 HP rating it gets, especially since the Camaro is much, much heavier than the Vette! if you're gonna do then do it right!

Thanks,Matt
I think they need a reason for people to justify buying the flagship Corvette over the Camaro. I'm not saying that 20hp is a valid reason, but it gets the idea in people's heads that the Corvettes LS7 is the better motor. Look at the LS1s from C5s and 4th gen F-Bodies. 305hp for the Z/28s and Trans Ams and 325hp for the SSs and WS6s versus the C5s 345hp.

Most of all those F-bodies were underated from the factory when they were dynoed and pretty much made the same power as the C5 vettes. GM claimed figures like that for the F-bodies so that they wouldn't interfere with the sells of the C5 vettes. The 00-02 F-bodies even got the same intake manifold as the C5 Z06 if I'm not mistaken.
