Was wondering what everyone is purchasing for cabin air filters for a 04 vette. Any brand better than the other? I here Purolater with charcoal is a good one, but why I have no idea. Also, any ideas where it is located and tricks to installing it.
Thanks

C5's do not have cabin air filters.

Cause you have mold growing in the VENTS.

With that out of the way, I thought I saw an after market filter that attached to the cowl or the area under the driver side windshield wiper.

Anyone know where I may have seen them.

The last time I cleaned out the udders, I felt compelled to buy my C5 a nice dinner!

A number of vendors used to sell a piece of foam that laid over the air intake under the wipers. It sold for $20 or so and stopped big leaves in their tracks!

Check with Mid-America or Ecklers. The filter really isn't needed though.

I don't remember owning a car that would gather as much dust on the dash as my c5. It bothers me enough that I carry a ceiling fan duster behind the passenger seat. I use it on the dash and the door panels at least once a week usually twice a week. I have checke the car over several times and there are no missing parts and everything that has anything to do with vents works as it is intended to. I usually have the control set for outside air and that seems to be where it comes from.

I may try one the filters mentioned here to see if it helps but it sounds iffy at best.

Any ideas out there?

With the top down most of the time, I can't see any filter doing much.
