I recently bought a 2003 Anniversary Convertible with the above VIN. I ran a few checks on it with CarFax and VinAudit. Thre is not much there other than the car appears to have been sold in Oklahoma and was first serviced in Texas. there are very few service records. The Dealer in Paris Texas would not give me owner information. The car with 17,086 miles on it then showed up at auction in Auburn Hills Michigan. From there it went to Albuquerque New Mexico. It was then titled in Socorro New Mexico. Five thousand miles later it showed up at Melloy Dodge in Albuquerque New Mexico "their number was disconnected". The car was sold again and 5K later was sold again to another owner whom I assumed traded it in at a AUDII dealer in Albuquerque. The next buyer is the person that I bought it from.

If anyone recognizes this VIN or has any contacts especially at Paris Chevrolet in Paris Texas, any help would be appreciated.

What exactly are you wanting to know about the car? If it is the names of the previous owners, good luck - that's a lot of people that have owned that car. If you want general info on the car (build date, list of options, selling dealer, GM warranty work), you can contact either Gene Culley at gmpartshouse.com or Dennis Fichtner at Fichtner Chevy (both forum vendors) and they can run you a GM report based on the VIN.

Good luck in your search though.

You should be able to request a VIS search from soeone working at a GM dealership here on the forum - - doesn't have much in the way of ownership records- but will show warranty and service work on the car . . .

But you haven't elaborated on what information you seek. That would help.

http://www.compnine.com/vid.php

go there and put your vin in the box. you can do one per day for free. it will tell you what your car left the factory with, but not any dealer installed extras.

I am seeking info that would lead me to the original owner! I contacted the first servicing Dealer but they would not give me the information. Why? What the hell do they think they are, the Government? I have been contacted in reference to cars that I have owned and it did not bother me a bit. As a matter of fact, the most prior car that I bought, a 03 Z06. I was able to contact the prior owners and even the Dealer helped. No harm no foul!

That is why I thought anyone with a contact at Paris Chevrolet could help! It is starting point.
