Headlight covers?

Headlight covers?
Is it common with gaps that don't match up with headlight doors-fender to hood? No accidents but maybe car was built on Friday--

Not uncommon. Moreover, the headlight covers can be "moved around" a bit if you take off the headlight surrounds, loosten the four bolts that hold the cover in place, and move the cover as required. And if that's not enough, then loosen and move around the bracket (on top of the headlight unit) onto which the headlight cover bolts.
Bottom line...there are a couple of ways to move around the headlight covers to minimize, if not eliminate, any asymmetrical gaps.

Mine line up very well, but I have seen some that are off a bit. Try adjusting them as mentioned above - you should be able to get them to match up better.
