When I bought my car, the nose was pretty beat up as is the pass rear quarter panel just below the side marker. I can't afford to repaint those two spots yet so I decided to give plasti-dip a shot to at least cover the flaws until I can get it painted.
I decided to do kind of a chin spoiler of sorts on the nose but quickly realized how high up some of the chips and scuffs are so had to cover up more than I wanted. This was the only layout that would cover all the scuffs and paint chips. While I'm not happy with the look, it's better than the missing and scuffed paint! I did the fenders as well. Tried one and didn't like it as it was too much. So I redid them so they only cover a bit and don't stand out too much. The nose.... I may redo it different. I can't make the sides any thinner as one side has to be like that to cover some scrapes. Only thing I can change is the V shape I did in the very front. I might change that. The stuff is pretty cool though and comes off no problem. I will post pics of the rear quarter of my car and try to get some help from you guys on a design to hide the scuff and not look too bad.
Feel free to bash all you want. I'm looking for opinions and ideas on how I can do it and not look too bad as it will be a while before I can repaint the nose, let alone the quarter panel.
If you are a photoshop guy, help me out. Especially on the rear panel.

I am sorry, But in my opinion it looked better before the fix, I think buying a little bottle of touch up paint would of looked a lot better.
Just my opinion.

No bashing from me. I was surprised how nice the front looks (although I would have gone straight across instead of the V shape)
I was looking at doing the same thing, but with a clear. Sort of a clear bra for use on trips, etc. I liked seeing the shot of pulling it off. It looks like it would be easy to do when you decide to change.
Really don't care for it V-ing on the nose as mentioned or the red showing in the brake ducts, but other than that it's ok for a temp fix. But better than the Z badges on it though.
Sorta like a fat girl in skinny jeans, just doesn't go well together.
I think that it might be less obvious if the plastidip didn't go above the faint body line on the bumper. The 'dip would still be covering the blemishes, but might not seem so overpowering. As the 'dip line makes it's way around the bumper, I think I'd drop it down to nothing before the wheel well- not try to make it look like a front edge mud flap. Oh, and ditch the V...
Just my opinion. Good luck.

If the red Plasti-Dip is a fairly close match, it might work out well. If not, I would get rid of the V in the middle - I just think it would look better without that there.

And like I said, I wasn't happy with it. The V didn't work with a car with soft lines.
And I couldn't go any lower as there are chips and scuffs up to where it is now. This was 1 can($6) and was an experiment to play with it some. See how this stuff sprays and cleans up. I really want to paint the whole car one of these times. I've seen flat black C5's and I happen to love them. But if I ever go that far I will get my car vinyl wrapped. Then when I get tired of it, take it off and enjoy the Torch Red again. But for the cost of the wrap, I could repaint the front bumper and quarter panel and be good to go!
