Im going to purchase some flares today for sure but stuck with the decision to go with the L5s or duraflex version. I have done a good amount of research on the two but would like some info from people that have either or actually put on their cars. Install...prep needed...did they come with fender inner liners? For today only I got a really good deal for the L5s...but still a great amount more than the duraflex. Any feed back would be greatly appreciated.

If your on the fence about deciding which set,let me put in my endorsement for L-5's. According to my body-shop guy Mike over at Elite Customs the whole process was virtually trouble free. The panels line right up and prep work was straightforward. I believe the stock inner fenders are still used. The splash guards are extra though. I ordered mine through JWM here on the Forum and received them in a timely manner. I believe the paint, prepwork, etc. came to right at $1000. Mike has done several of these after my car. In fact my car is over there at the moment having finished up a new hood, insulation, and powdercoating,if you want to go over and see what the flares look like and the work he does you won't be disappointed. Get over there before Friday, because I'm coming home this weekend. Tell Mike or Linda I sent you,Tom McShea

To sum it up, if your good with your hands it wasn't that hard to "make fit." And, if your going to your own prep work before paint, I recommend using a high build primer to reveal imperfections. Filler may be needed for any waves discovered, but I think this is standard for any of the manufactured fender flares. One more thing, keep in mind that I had the first copy of flares from this company and I gave them feed back on where to address any mold issues so hopefully they took my advice and they have a better product. For more info message quick z06 as I gave him all the necessary info and would know more about the manufacturing process. Cheers!
I just had the fenders from TPI in Las Vagas installed. Perfect fit. My body guy loved the fenders. PM me for Jeff's phone number. The TpI fenders are different from Lewis 5 and the duraflex fender smoother blening .

I have the duraflex version; go L5's. The Duraflex is too brittle, and the quality isn't the best; it took a lot of body work to get mine to fit right. For a few hundred bucks more you can have the L5's, which according to everyone fit right out of the box.
