The title is not clear ( not enough information.)
a URL ( universal resource locator ) is the address of a photo found on the internet. its like a finger print. exclusive to a single photograph.
first you need a host ( a place to store the photos on line ) I use smugmug. there are some free websites to host photos like flicker, etc.
Once you have a host account, you can then drag and drop photos from your computer to the host site, where the host site will assign a URL to each photo. You can not post a photo that does not have an address ( URL )
when you want to use that photo and post it, you use the URL of that photo which is on the internet 24/7 via the host site.
with HTML language or a tag button you can post that photo anywhere.
If this is too technical you can pm me if you like and I can help you.

If you are wanting to post pics here on the forum, sign up for a hosting service like photobucket.com or tinypic.com. Both are free, but I prefer tinypic.com. Once you have created an account, just upload your pics from your computer to that site and when that is done, copy the IMG link into your forum post. The pics should show up.
I agree that the question is not clear. If you want to upload photos without signing up or having an account you can do it here as long as the pics don't exceed 200kb in size. You still have to link to the url that the hosting site provides after you upload your pic. The site I mentioned does not catalog your pics or make them personal in any way for viewing.
Well I finally managed to upload pix of my car to a photobucket account (stored under libraries in my computer), but I cannot for the life of me get them onto Corvette Forums. ?????

There are 4 code listings per picture. The IMG code (bottom one) is the one you want to 'copy'. 'Paste' that code.
This site is layed out the same as Ls1tech.com that ive been using for yrs...besides u cant upload pics Directly from your PC to the site.....I was wondering if there was a way to upload pics w out having to upload to another site first and copy and paste like you guys are telling me I have to do...thx
To post without a URL scroll down when your creating a post to "manage attachments" NOTE: your pics must be under 800X800 in size. I use "Microsoft Office Picture Manager" (its included in Microsoft Office) to resize my pictures. There are many other programs to do this also.

I agree, Also you can upload to your garage and use them to post.
But I have to add that using photobucket you will get better results.

Tried repeatedly with no luck. Maybe I'm photo ignorant. I give up.
