If it's old and faded your best bet is probably to purchase a new or used one.

That or have it painted body color. That's what I am doing to mine.

I actually used a product by Mothers called "Back to Black". It took quite a few applications, but the end result was like new even when it was horrifically faded before. I wish I had taken pics to prove it, but I guess you'll just have to take my word But if for some crazy reason it doesn't work as well for you and/or you like the CF look more, definitely go with Jame's! He's an awesome guy

Depends on how badly gone it is, but i was just about to suggest back to black as well..

It can work wonders after a few applications to even the worst sun faded black trim..

For the cost, it couldn't hurt to try it....

I just chopped up an old pic and took a quick one in the garage just as an idea. They really don't do it justice, as I was astonished how well it worked. I am usually skeptical of these gimmick applications, but it worked like a charm and even stayed on the wiper covers!

You can take it off and scuff it up and spray paint it black. I did this and it looked good as new and lasted about a year before I had to do it again. I finally broke down this year and bought a hydro carbon one from pat.

Here's what I did to the cowl. The pieces painted to match the car and then installed the chrome pieces from "Creative Engine Covers".
