An extra set of wagon wheels is what I have to work with. Right now the car has chrome wagons on it, which I'm good with. However, I was thinking of having the silver set of wagons that I got extra with the car, powder coated black.
Although I don't have pics yet, I just bought a set of 17" wagons and had them powder coated gloss black. They are going to be my track/fun on the street wheel set up.
If you search the forum there is a guy who sold a set of gloss black wagons that he had drag radials installed. It was on a blue C6 and I thought it looked mighty mean.
best color ive seen wagons in is gunmetal/graphite/anthracite. dark grey with plenty of flake.
I think I like the Chrome the best, but for painted I like the gunmetal best and black the worst.
I apologize that I don't know the forum member's name, but I saw this on the forum a long time ago and thought they were the best looking wagon wheels I had seen.
Again, wagon wheels are what at hand!! I'd love to throw some chrome CCW's on it, but can't right now. With three kids, my mod money is tiiiggghhht....
Guys, painting wagon wheels black is a pretty cheap way of making your car look more current... The chrome wagons just look a bit dated these days... You should just plastidip them and see how you like it. Heres a pic of a vette that looks good with black wagon wheels
My c5 is black black and black. The last one is the wheels.
I come from BMW where your wheels will be black quickly from brake dust so I go black for ease of maintainence. In fact, I will be ordering or having paint or powder coating done for the sammichmaker's x5.
I like the look of my c5. It was one of the selling points, for me.
