Default Weird A/C problem

When I press the A/C button the light blinks a few times then goes off. The A/C was working fine before the weather turned cold. Does anyone have a clue what it could be? I've searched the forum and haven't found a similar problem.

Mine will do that if it isn't warm enough outside, It has to be a certain temp outside for it to work.

A/C (Air Conditioning): This button turns the

air conditioning compressor off or on under most

conditions. The light on the A/C button comes on

when the compressor is operating. The air conditioning

does not operate at temperatures below approximately

35F to 40F (2C to 4C). The air conditioning

cools and dehumidifies the air coming into the vehicle.

The air conditioning cannot be turned off in defrost,

as it helps to remove moisture from the vehicle. It also

helps to keep the windows clear.

The air conditioning may be forced off at high engine

speeds or high engine oil or coolant temperatures.

It can also be low of Freon.

I wondered about that at first, but now we are having 70 and 80 degree days and it still does it.

Is the outside temp reading correctly? If so, probably just low on freon. I'm suprised you did not find anything on the forum, I know there have been tons of threads on this same topic.
