Dreaded headlight issue!

Dreaded headlight issue!
So, when I turn my head lights off, the driver side makes a hideous noise (which is I guess are the gears continuing to turn).
But what I don't get, is now when I turn the parking lights on, the headlights pop up as well....
Thoughts?

Headlights
I had loud clicking on pass side when closing.This was after the lid was down. It was like the motor did not know the lid was down.(out of time)
I used the manual **** to raise the lid to the open position.Then disconnected the rod between the lod and motor.Retimed motor and lid to match drivers side. Works great.
I almost purchased a new motor. Hope this may help. I spent about a hour.

Well, my guess is the gears in the motor are shredded. So, I ordered a rebuild kit today from Ecklers.
I read on here that the two issues go hand in hand...
Hopefully the rebuild will solve it..
