Hey all, well it only took me 34 years but I finally got one, been inlove with the vettes ever since my dad pulled in the garage suprising me when I was 7 years old with his brand new silver 1987 C4. Well anyway, shes not brand new but shes new to me. Some cosmetic changes to come but so far I have no plans for anything mechanical/performance. Already has cold air intake and Borla exhaust. First thing I did was remove chrome the Fins from the side, those are not for me

lol, thanks, I DK what the previous owner was thinking, thankfully they were just siliconed on. I really want to remove the door moulding but im scared after reading some horror stories on it.
FYI I just removed my BSMs this week on same color 01 everything was just fine. Although after taking them off and having her for 30 days she kinda looks naked now.

Congrats on getting a C5. Very nice looking car you bought and I would have done the same thing with the chrome spears on the side. Best of luck with your first Corvette.
Good job, you got the right color!! Except for wheels, chrome is for Cadillacs! Happy my car didn't have BSM's but don't believe I would have removed them if if had.

HAHA, it was sunny and 85 degrees the day I looked at it, the next day when the deal was sealed it was a downpour with flood warnings. Go figure, I couldnt have any fun with it for two days it was so cloudy and wet.

Yes I agree, Im not a chrome fan either, and these wheels are getting painted black, Yes, I am painting them black. Probably this weekend. Im a former Jeep Wrangler Rubicon owner, in the jeep world we had a saying, Chrome dont get yah home lol. Should I do a write up on how to paint chrome wheels??? I have done it before, didnt now if anyone has done it here.
