Early Awakening!
This year, we have already had nearly a month of nice weather, rainfall less than 50% of normal.
Today, it's mid 80's! In Portland.
That's on the order of 20 degrees above normal. And no rain in sight.
So, I went and got the C5 out of storage and brought it home!
I cycled the key a few times to insure fuel pressure, and it lit right up. No fanfare at all. The only issue was a low LF tire, which the car kindly reminded me of.
This is my 2nd year of ownership. I had it in the garage doing the full slate of mods last year, so really didn't get to enjoy the finished tuned nice running car until mid July. So this is the fists rites of spring for me.
Big smile on my face! Top off, Borlas singing. It needs emissions testing as the tags are expired, but I'll drive it every day it's nice this summer. And hit the drags often.
BTW....I have been drag racing my Nova for the last month as I resurrected it over the winter. It runs low 10's off the bottle. The LS motor in the C5 has inspired me so much, I'm in the process of building an L33 (alum 5.3 LS with 799 heads) with a large single turbo for it and should be ready for next summer. I believe it will actually run mid nines, and get 20+ mpg......too cool.
