I haven't heard of anyone doing it, If it is possible to do it will cost so much it won't be worth it in my opinion.

A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away somebody was selling a key/fob combo thing that you transplanted your fobs guts into.
I recall there was some bad blood around it at one point. Its kind touched upon in this thread that's now super old:
