I guess I should say that these were taken with a sony *** and a sigma 75-300mm lens. I take them in RAW format and process it with nikon's software ViewNX2.

Very good, Is the Sony raw a NEF file like Nikon? I use Nikon Capture Editor a lot to edit my raw files.
Good job.

I ended up going with the Nikon P510 "Bridge" Camera.
I was thinking about going the SLR route but decided against it. I was looking for more of a zoom than the standard 18mm x 55mm max zoom that comes with an entry lens for an SLR. And the price was more around what I wanted to spend. I was very impressed when I tried it in the store. The sales guy at Best Buy even let me take it outside to shoot the Vette!!

You will love the nikon p510 I have it myself and love the special effects like slow motion, color select etc. and the lens is crazy zoom. I mostly use the sonys, *** and a330 because they will take the minolta lenses. The lens I took these pictures with is a 20+ year old lens I bought from goodwill for 20$. The sony has it's image stabilizer in the camera so all you need is an auto focus lens that fits minolta and you be jammin.
As for the nikon software it works on everything except the canon cr2 raw files. I also have paitshop pro that will tweek them even further but then it doesn't look real.

Actualy the Sony raw files are ARW if that means anything and the ViewNX2 program is free from Nikon's web site.I like it better than the sony or canon software.
