Nooby intro post!! My first vette!!
Hi folks;
This is my intro post. My name is George and I just picked up my first Corvette after wanting one for many years.
I just picked up a 1998 coupe yesterday. It's black on black. I love this car! It has fairly low mileage for its age, about 78K. It needs a few little odds and ends, like some new window rubbers, drivers seat upholstery, and those run-flats are just about the noisiest tire I have ever heard!
But, all in all; I think I am just going to love owning this car.
I've been trolling the forums for a while now, just doing research into which one I was going to purchase and finally decided on the C5 a short time ago.
I looked at a number of cars in the SF bay area and up around sacramento and not one of them was as it was advertised to be. I finally found this one at a dealer in Martinez and we were able to work a deal on it.
I'm looking forward to asking questions about bolt-ons I may want to do and I may be able to contribute some also, having worked in an automotive machine shop for 10 years when I was younger.
Well, for now; back to the forums for more research. See you all there!!

Haha....Blasted if I post pics??
I want to clay bar, polish and wax her before I post pics. Just would not feel right posting pics of her dirty. I had it flatbed towed to the house and it got caught in the rain on the way, so its dirty.
