Default Need some help please, catalytic converter

Hy guys, I bought a 99 FRC a year ago in Texas. Is has LG Pro long tubes, LG mid section, B&B with PRT system catback exhaust and an LG G5X3 Cam. My inspection just came due and it doesn't have catalytic converters, which are required here in the People's Republic of North Carolina (I'm just now learning this, sorry). The car was professionally built and tuned by LG Motorsports. I don't know a lot about this stuff and I'm wondering what my best options are as far as effecting the HP and Sound as little as possible. The car runs and drives awesome and I really hate messing with it but it looks like I'm going to have to..... Any help is greatly appreciated.

Phillip

Talk to LG and see if adding cats will affect your tune, I doubt it. You can add cats for the inspection and then remove them as an option. I don't think the cats will significanlty modify the sound, maybe a little quieter, and I have heard they can reduce exhaust drone in case you have any.

Good advice. I know Random Technologies sells a high flow catalytic converter that could be used. I would check with LG though and see what they recommend.

Thanks guys, I'll call LG and see what they say. The neighboring county does not require emissions inspections and I thought about getting a PO box and registering the car in that county but I don't know if that'll fly or not.

Is that normal outside Quomo-land? Requirements varying by county vs being statewide?

Call them and see, should be able to put on some high flows with no problem or significant loss of power

I would be careful registering the car on a PO Box

could draw un wanted attention not from the smog police but maybe DEA or the Homeland people
