I pulled off my hoodliner because I decided to go with the bare look. I had read that most people remove the hoodliner and reveal and nice looking underside of the hood after cleaning it up but some find that the paint hasn't even been finished from the factory. Well, I fall into the latter category. Can't believe they would do that.
I guess I will either refurb my headliner or replace it or get the hood underside painted...
If you have customed the underside of your hood I'd love to hear your experience and advice.
You could be right but having gone through the painting of a Corvette, I can tell ya that it'd be a lot more than .50 with of paint. Granted, I had custom paint mixed but believe me, that stuff ain't cheap!

Randy, check out:

I haven't done it yet but what about doing the C5 emblem mod to the hoodliner and putting it back on? Or there's a young lady here on the forum (don't recall her id) that does fabulous murals on 'em. With associated costs I assume. But really nice work. If I find her link, I'll post

My car too falls into the category of having the underside of the hood painted but not to the quality of the outside portion - just blue with no clear. So I went with a painted hoodliner from Steve Ray (Airbrush Inc) a forum vendor. Steve is a very talented artist and did a great job on my hoodliner. Here's a pic:
I painted my C5 emblem on and just used arts and crafts type paint from walmart along with a set of paint brushes from the same place. it took a few hours but turned out pretty good for someone who isnt an artist IMO
